Swiftwind: So'ra: Still not sure I'd give this game a go. KOTOR was a nice game but I never liked the time it was set it. It'll be to much about Jedi in that or maybe no other but Jedis in it. I'd rather play as a character who is not a jedi and has to use thier own skills rather than the force Not my thing either. While I definitely won't be going out and preordering the thing....I might give it a try If there's a 14 day trial at some point... but I'm certainly going to be checking out the games forums to see how soon the first "the devs suck" and "you ruined the game" messages appears. lol

Sadly, when you visit any games boards, it seems that the U DEVS SUX crew actually just sit waiting for the forums to open to start spamming. F'rinstance, am currently having too much fun in WAR (so much so that my EQII and SWG characters are writing to me and asking where I've gone) but tend to avoid their forums as, yep, despite one of the smoothest launches yet and a game which is, surprisingly, bug free... IT SUX!!! Not only that but TEH DEVS SUX, etc.
Still, I guess it gives these yeehaws something to do other than sit onthe driveway wahping themselves in the face with a bit of 2 by 4.
OK, back on topic, sort of... KOTOR was a nice game. I enjoyed it, despite the rather 8 Bit feel to the UI and the very point and click to activate combat. The story was solid and branched nicely depending on your actions. True, you were playing a jedi in a jedi world, but that sort of didn't matter. The Force wasn't used nearly as freely as it is in the movies or even SWG. Combat? Down to your mad skillz man. Build a better saber? Better have completed the right puzzles and stuff then...
Though you do get to waggle a saber or three... but it's just another tool and not always the best. Choices, consequences, etc. All important.
IF Bioware bring their rag doll character models and a solid combat system to the table, yep, this could be a win. Not a WoW beater, or even a SWG beater to be sure, but it'll keep us game geeks amused for a few weeks.
Or we'll be spamming up the forums with UR GAME SUX!! I R TEH QUITZ! ;)
I was also enjoyd the first Kotor and even the second (even if it was rushed) i hope the MMO has the full story like kotor did and the battles like kotor II had.
