I always felt Dathomir was too dark and scary looking. The way it was described in "The Courtship of Princess Leia" (which I once read in a hospital waiting room several years ago) its actually a beautiful planet. In fact I think it was Leia who even describes it that way. I also dont get why there isn't a daytime for it, but eh. I guess they just wanted their cliche scary planet. [:P]

There are rare occaisions when the sun does shine on Dathomir and it IS, in some places, a beautiful planet. Out near the Village and over towards the Misty Falls can look fantastic. But you don't usually get much time to stand around gawping at the scenery as the wildlife, well, it's... pretty territorial.
