Hello!

My name is, uh, Korron I guess...

I've been playing Galaxies since June 15, 2004...and no, I don't have that date memorized, lol, I looked it up.

It's always been fun for me, because, well, I love Star Wars, pretty much always have, I mean, how can't you love it?!

Anyways, I could rant for a long while about why I love galaxies, but I'm trying to keep it short...well, at least not long and boring.

So, last week, I was messing around on iTunes, and decided to look up Star Wars podcasts, I had never really used a podcast before, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. Looking down the list, I spotted (who could've guessed?) SWGwYaMB. What really caught my eye was "Galaxies", I would love a podcast about Star Wars in general...but about my favorite game?! Not only that, but a game that I played (and play) almost daily?! I had to check it out...and well, long story short, I loved the show, and now I'm here

Anyways, with the story of how I got here outta the way, lemme tell you a little about my main character.

His name is Korron Zeria, before the NGE he was a combination of allot of things...

I never really got past the Basic Professions, I think I was a rifleman for a little, and maybe carbineer, but not much, and not master. I stuck to Master Marksman, and just dabbed around in other things. I mastered artisan at one point too (that's my Elder tittle...I wish it had been marksman...) Despite never being able to "pwn" anyone (Seriously, how did a spelling error become such a popular word?!), I still had lots of fun, exploring mostly...stuff like wandering from Theed to the Lake Retreat on foot, fighting off those dangblasted nightspiders along the way.

That's the thing I love about Galaxies, Adventure.

Well, eventually, Jump To Lightspeed came out, and I couldnt've been happier. Galaxies was able to do the same thing to ground as it did to space, that is, there is enough space to explore, that you can have your own little adventures...and boy do I.

Well, inevitably, the CU hit...honestly, I didn't mind it too much...I was a little mad that my level was so low, but I wasn't too mad.

I mainly cared about space anyways...

Well, RotW came and went, stuff happened, and I went Imperial (temporarily of course) to get a Jedi Starfighter...which meant dropping my Rebel Ace Pilot, that I had spent 6 months on(yes, 6....I'm lazy okay? I hate grinding, even in space...).

So, I went Imp, did the quest, got the deed, and quickly switched back, and began regrinding Rebel Pilot...

And...well...I got bored...pretty quick...and, uh, took a vacation from Galaxies for a few months.

Eventually I found out about the NGE, and got curious, did a 14-day trial thing, and decided to start playing again.

Please don't kill me but,

I don't actually mind the NGE too much. Yes, I hate the fact that I can't do several different professions at once...but I like being a jedi...alot.

There are things I miss about pre-NGE Galaxies...but I mean, it happened, and they aren't gonna change it (unless you count SWGEmu...you didn't hear that from me, Shhhh!). What's done is done.

But it's still a fun game, like I said before I never really cared about my ability to "pwn" things, (although I do muchprefer being a level 90, then the mere, like 20-something I had been pre-NGE), I just care about having fun, which for me, means being able to adventure and explore...Just wandering one of the several planets, and looking around can be so much fun sometimes, like the other day, I found some path on Dantooine....and just followed it. Things like that, are the reason I still play.

Anyways, so yeah, I'm done now.

(Random funny note: When I used spellcheck, one of the suggestions it gave me for "lightspeed" was "lights-peed", lol, I thought that was kinda funny.)
